so you can run for as long as you wish even as an older runner. Running is a very demanding sport orthopedically. Even on flat terrain, your joints have to carry 3 times your body weight during every step. Downhill even higher loads. The more and faster you run, the faster your joint cartilage degenerates especially in your knees and hip. Start running healthier to minimize the orthopedic load you put on yourself!
